This remote position allows you to collaborate with global silicon manufacturers, contributing to cutting-edge technology that powers a multitude of devices.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with silicon vendors to seamlessly integrate their technologies into the Ubuntu Linux kernel.
Identify and resolve kernel issues, ensuring high-quality performance for our partners, customers, and the community.
Design and deliver optimized kernel variants tailored for specific silicon architectures.
Enhance tooling and automation processes for kernel delivery and testing.
Actively contribute to the Linux kernel community by reviewing, submitting, and applying patches.
Discover and implement opportunities to boost performance on partner silicon.

Required Skills

Strong software engineering capabilities, particularly in hardware-level development.
Proficiency in device drivers, Board Support Packages (BSPs), and hardware-level system engineering.
Competence in C programming and version control using Git.
Solid understanding of operating system kernel principles.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to function effectively in a remote work setting.

Qualifications
